My first card!!!

Ok, so I made this card on my Pazzles machine. I admit I got the file from a group I'm in on Yahoo. I decorated the card with glitter pens, next time I plan to use something different, but for a four year old I think it'll do. :) I don't really understand why my camera didn't get a better pic of it though... the inside of the card is actually pink, and the outside is purple... hmm..... maybe bad lighting... you can kinda see it in the first one..

It was kinda fun, and soo easy! I think I might start making some more cards... I don't know what for though lol....

What a week....

This week has been horrible. I had so much going on it wasn't even funny. I had my air conditioner go out, it ended up being about 90 degrees in my house. My son and I were soo miserable, DH got to go to work lol....

I had an orthodontist appointment, we got my hubby's motorcycle partially fixed, he now has a hole in his gas tank and we have to replace that, $600 later... ugh.

My Dh grandpa got put in the hospital for a triple bypass surgery, he is doing better now though he's still in the hospital. I did manage to do a small bit of scrapping, mostly just 10 minutes at a time over the past week. I was working on my latest challenge. It was a sketch, which by the way I wasn't entirely sure what to do, but I figured it out I think. Here's a picture of it.

I don't know how much I like how it came out... my hubby said it looks like something from the 80's lol.... I suppose he's right. He did say he liked my design, just not the colors. I agree with him there. The button is crooked in the pic, which I only just now noticed. I didn't have it stuck on when I took the pic, it must have moved. :D Anyway, well that's all I have gotten done recently. I'm out of page protectors for my books, so I'm kinda trying to stall until I can go get more.

My first challenge.

So, I did my first challenge this week. I haven't ever done one, but they seem to inspire me to try new techniques and styles on my pages. Anyway, I did these for the challenge in a group I'm in on cafemom.com. The first challenge was to do something outdoorsy, so I chose my son at the park. The second challenge was for using a recycled calendar page. I chose to make this one about the 12 months my husband was gone to Afghanistan. I think my favorite is the calendar one. :) I can't wait to do another challenge. I really had a lot of fun with it.

An Interesting day....

So we got some news about my husbands motorcycle, it's in the shop right now. He only got to ride it to work for 2 days before it broke down... go figure. Anyway, there's a whole bunch wrong with it, he needs a new gas tank, which is $600 we don't have, then a bunch of little things, then the shop wants to charge lmost $400 for just labor.... ( makes me think I should be a mechanic for that kind of money lol ) So needless to say it hasn't been a very good day.

I did get a scrapbook page done though, here's a picture of it. It's pictures of my husband and I from about 3 years ago, and it's taken me this long to get it in my book lol....

Anyway, guess I'm going to start another one now......

I wish I had a Cricut!!

I just came accross one of the new cartridges for the cricut machine, the Stand and Salute cartridge. I couldn't believe it, I always wished they had a military one and now they come out with one. I sold my Cricut machine for the Pazzles, and I think I'm still glad I did.... :D but I do however want that back lol... just for that one cartridge at least. Our local scrapbooking store actually rents out the machines and cartridges for a few bucks a day, so I'll have to look deeper into that now and see if they have that cartrdige yet. :) I'm so excited. My husband is in the Army and it's got everything I'd need to do some great pages in his scrapbook. He's switching his job now, and he's going to work on Chinooks and there's actually what looks like one on the cartridge.... I can't contain my excitement. :) hee hee

Noahs Ark Picture

So I was playing around with making a paper picture. I used regular cardstock paper and my Pazzles to make this. My plan is to frame it, it would make a good picture to hang in a baby room. Anyway, I like it... but I want to make something a little more detailed and real looking next.

What to do, Where to start????

I've been out of it for a few days now, I had surgery this past Wednesday but I'm back on my feet now. I have all these different ideas in my head, I just don't know where to start. I have a few card ideas, a few page ideas, and a few random craft ideas... I also don't know what to do with them when I'm done.... maybe I'll post them on craigslist if they come out good. :)

I've been thinking about a challenge or swap too, I looked at a few online, not finding one I'm really interested in. I've never done one before so I'm ot sure how they work entirely. But I like the idea of having a random project to do, I think it would boost my creativity, especially to learn about other techniques. Anyways, back to my scrappin now I guess.....

So many ideas.....

I have so many ideas for things I want to make and they're all just stuck in my head. I did have a little inspiration though. I was looking on one of the blogs I follow and I saw something I've been thinking about for a while now. Framing. I would like to do single pages in a frame, as if they were in a book, or just do pictures out of paper. I also saw a diaper cake... I have always wanted to try to make one, but I'll have to do a little research on them... living at Ft. Campbell a lot of people are having babies here.... maybe I could sell them... hmm the possibilities... :)
