Recent Projects

Here's the only two projects I've actually done in a while. I did this card and layout. The card is made with light weight paper and though you can't tell in the pic, the antlers on the reindeer have some silver glitter on the edges. What's funny about this one is that I never did send it out lol... go figure.

The layout I did is from a concert I went to the other night at the Sommet Center in Nashville. The Trans- SIberian Orchestra. I was so excited to go, it was a Chrsitmas gift from my hubby. :) I have been dreaming of seeing them for a long time, since I was a kid and playing my violin.

I chalked the paper behind the edges of the pictures to make frames, and I also chalked the guitar and the music staff. I do like how the staff came out. My husband thinks I should add a violin to the page, but Im not sure if it'd be too much, and what color to use....

6 months down.. only a few to go.

So I am going to be 6 months pregnant with what we now know is a baby girl on Tuesday. The time to deliver draws closer and makes me a bit nervous. All I can do is pray that everything goes well. For now at least everything seems fine. All my blood work and ultrasounds look good.
On a crafty note, I have a bunch of stuff to scrap, and a lot of ideas for things I want to make with my Pazzles. I have joined the craft room and have gotten a lot of good ideas, some of which I need to get some more materials for. I would really like to get into inking and do more with the pen tool on my projects. I have also been looking for more piecing files, mostly the animals. I am excited for all the new pages I'll be able to make for this year, I'll have a new baby, and with summer coming up a bunch of pics of my son playing outside. He'll be 2 1/2 when summer comes so he'll be able to go outside and do much more than last year. It's going to be great. :)

My first Christmas card....

So this is a card I made, this is only the second card I've ever made but I'm very proud of it. I made it entirely of regular cardstock, and only used wire for the cord of lights. I have a few more I've started, but I need to go buy a few more supplies before I can finish them. I don't have a big supply of pens and am slowly running out of paper. I have a ton of paper, just not the ones I want....

Anyway, I'm back to making stuff now...

Pazzles Craft Room....

So I decided to go ahead and give it a try and pay for the membership. I think I like it so far, although I've only had it one night. I think I would like to see a larger variety of pictures as some are the same things just a little different. I've come to the conclusion though that sometimes you never know what you might use something for, not everything makes sense when you have no use for it. I do like that they have a military section though as my hubby is in the Army. I'm excited to get my pazzles machine back out of the box and use it sometime this week. I should have time, our truck will be in the shop for almost 2 weeks!! SO I wont have anything else to do lol.. I have lots of ideas I'd like to try out, and a few things I want to learn. I want to try to make some Christmas cards this year... I've only ever made 2 cards before, and they were both pretty simple. I want to try a window card this time, maybe with an ornament hanging in it or something, we'll see.

Crazy times!!

So recently things have been a bit different.. I recently found out I'm pregnant, now about 13 weeks, I'm due April 20th, 2010. I have a few complications though, which have made this a bit hard for me. My first pregnancy was relatively uneventful, towards the end I had pain in my leg, from the veins. I went to a vascular surgeon a few months back, who diagnosed me with May-Thurner syndrome. I had a stent placed in my left iliac vein in June, and found out I was pregnant about a month ago. I went in for a ultrasound on my stent and go figure I have a clot in there... they immediately started me on lovenox shots twice a day. Theyre blood thinners I inject myself into my stomach... they hurt pretty bad sometimes. I also have to wear these compression stockings everyday, which stinks but Im getting used to it now. I am a bit nervous for the delivery, they say they'll have to switch me to heprin 10 days before delivery because it can be reversed if I have a bleed. It's very scary for me, I've never really had any medical problems before so it's a bit of a shock to have some so serious. When I have this baby, I plan to get my tubes tied, I don't want to risk so much again, 2 children will be fine with me. :)

On other less scary news, we're moving. We got a house on Fort Campbell, I'm very excited. I will be very close to the hospital and all the stores and resources on base will be in walking distance. It's going to be especially great because the weather is very cold here, and the heater in our current house is awful, it stays about 55-60 degrees during the day now inside and the homes on base have amazing heating ... hee hee
Well that's all for now, I'm going to lay down and drink some hot chocolate until my son wakes up from his nap.. ugh lol

Crazy life.....

So lately has been crazy, I have found out we are moving on base, which is very exciting for multiple reasons. We're going to be within walking distance of everything I'll need.
Also, I'm pregnant. Somewhere around 8-9 weeks now, very cool. I got to see an ultrasound the other day, and they were able to show me the little arm... :) I'm due April 24, 2010.
I also got some other news, not so good. Apparently I have a blood clot in a stent placed in my lower stomach. It's not big for right now, but its big enough that I'm on blood thinners, and asprin through my whole pregnancy and after. Scary stuff. I'm trying to not get too worked up over it as I can't do anything about it, nor can the doctors really since I'm pregnant. I have to get ultrasounds done once a month of my stent so they can moitor the clot. I'm assuming if it's still there when I deliver the baby they'll go in and do something about it then.
I haven't gotten any scrapping done at all, and I'm afraid I wont for a while, I have so much going on it's too much to stop and think about being creative... When we move on base, I don't even know where my desk will go, and if it'll fit. Bummer.
Anyway, well that's it for now.. I have appointment after appointment to make so I should get busy.

I'm pregnant!!

So, I just went to the doctor yesterday and found out I'm very pregnant. They said my hormone levels are very high, suggesting I am about 8 weeks along already! I kinda thought I was pregnant but I wasn't sure, we had already given up on me being able to get pregnant, and here we go! :)
I don't have my first appointment until September 18th, but I think I'm going to be a high risk pregnancy because of my vascular problems. I'm excited though, this is my second baby. I think it'll be more of a precaution to make me high risk than anything, the hospital here uses midwives instead of doctors. I need someone who knows what they're doing for my veins too...
Anyway, this pregnancy is soo different, I am always tired. Im ready for bed by the time I stand up from waking up in the morning! On that note, Im going back to sleep before my son wakes up! :) wish me luck lol
