My dream desk

It's the workbox!  Found it online, and oh what I would do to have this thing!  I want it so bad I can taste it.  I have my desk in my bedroom right now and we have to block the door to our bathroom to have it there.  Thank goodness theres another door to it from the hall or I'd have no desk at all.  This one packs up to be soo small and yet is so big when you open it up.  All I have to say is.... I WANT IT! lol
Only $1495

I havent made anything in the past few days but I did see a pretty neat technique on making glimmer mist ( which I also have never tried) and so I plan to do that.

A card for Cecily

I made this card for my friend Cecily.  Her husband is leaving soon on Deployment and I wanted to make her something to let her know that she wont be alone and I'm here to help.  Support is so important in the Army, and good friends are hard to come by.  Most of my friends are people I've never met online in the pazzles craft room and here on my blog.  Anyway, I decided to go ahead and make a card for her.  I actually like how it came out.
Is it strange that I want to be good at scrapbooking but I'm better at cards.... I hate that I'm better at soemthing I don't want to do as much.  I want to make cute pages, with really adorable embellishments and paper piecings and for some reason I just am not that great.  hmm...

My recent pages

I made these layouts this week.  The first is the dog show our post vet clinic sponsored last weekend.  My husband and I took our dogs up there and our new shepherd puppy Tango won best in show. He is only 12 weeks old.  Everyone just loved him.
I made the ribbon too, I pleated a strip of paper to go around the circle.  I've never done that before but it came out pretty neat I think.

The other layout I made was for my husbands scrapbook.  He took a picture of this sign in Afghanistan that actually had his home state on it saying about how far away they are.  I thought it was nifty.

A long time since my last post

So, with everything going on I haven't posted anything in a while. My daughter is now 6 months old and still battles stomach problems. She has another appointment at Vanderbilt Childrens Hospital this month so we'll see.

I haven't had much time for crafting, but that's about to change. I am determined to set aside time for me to do my thing. I have managed to make a few things. This Scooby Doo card I made for my neighbors son who had surgery. Inside it says Sorry you're feeling "RUFF" Hope you feel better soon. :)

He is only 2 1/2 so he really liked it. I cut it out on my Pazzles Inspiration.

I have made another very neat thing though. I had posted an ad on a local site for me to make cards or scrapbook embellishments and got a response. They wanted a card for their daughters carnival birthday and so I created a ferris wheel card. Originally I planned to make a 7" tall spinning ferris wheel, but unfortunately my engineering skills left out the part about it being made of paper and so it well.... didn't work out. SO I created this.....
The seats swing and everything. :) That's the coolest part.I did make a alternate inside which I liked better but they wanted to do it by themselves.

So that's what I've been up to. I made 13 of those ferris wheel cards and she loved them! :) It felt great to have my hobby come to some use. I have started an etsy shop and plan to start making some other stuff and try to sell it. I could really use the money, and it's so fun!

This is a page I did recently.  It's from my Dad's house, my son was all about helping water the veggies.  I made everything with my pazzles inspiration and just used markers and chalk to make the details.  This is one of my favorite pages.

Being a Mom

So here is the latest page I've completed.  I have decided to do a page about being a mom.. it was for a sketch challenge on cafemom.  I have been blessed with these two beautiful children and thought I should do something with all of us... when I get a chance I need to do one with my husband too....  anyway, here it is.
The picture doesnt really do it justice, the colors are very toned down in this pic, the background paper is actually not solid... it's almost aged...

I made this page of my daughter, I traced the skunk in my Pazzles software and designed the flower myself. I'm pretty proud of how it turned out. :)
